If you are looking for comfort, cordiality and friendliness, you have found the right place! Locanda Matilda is a Bed & Breakfast swathed in greenery, located close to Mantua, the Gonzaga's town and the tasty tortelli di zucca's (pumpkin tortelli) town.
Locanda Matilda is an ancient manor of about 1700, located in the Mantuan countryside, swathed in greenery, at only 5 km from the centre.
Prince De Curtis, stage name "Totò", husband of Mrs. Franca Faldini, the former owner of the house, has been our host several times.
The relaxing atmosphere of our manor, where you'll be welcomed with politeness, warmth, friendliness and cordiality, is our visiting card! Our big rooms with mansard-roof and wooden ceiling, rafters and floors in terracotta tiles, are furnished with typical antiques of our region. Whether you come here for a holiday or a business stay, just for one night or for one full month, we would like to offer you an unforgettable souvenir.
We will give you advice about a different itinerary, a place less known, but not for this less interesting, a particular dish of our local cuisine, of our land that we love so much, of the Italian corner where we live and of which we are very proud.
Our purpose is to make you come back not only because you want to visit Mantua and you are looking for an appropriate accommodation, but also because you want to stay in our manor, have your breakfast in the shadow of a luxuriant willow and, in the afternoon, visiting Mantua, located very close to us, maybe going there by boat, trailing your hands on lotus flowers.
Continental type breakfast, it's our boast. It will be served to you in the garden, in the shadow of a centuries-old tree or in the elegant dining room of the manor, by the fireplace.
From 8.30 AM to 9.30 AM.

Rooms
2 twin-bedded rooms of about 30 m2, possibility to add a third bed, shared big bathroom, with shower.
1 twin-bedded room, possibility to add a third bed, private bathroom with shower or whirlpool bath.
TV and air-conditioning.
On the leaving day, rooms are available until 10.00 a.m.
